Looks like you will not be able to chain up your lawn chairs days before Splash without them being removed. The reason they say, is a huge increase in people downtown with the Splash and Festival 150 this weekend…not to mention that 5 cruise ships will be visiting our city. It’s a safety issue on the causeway…people can’t get by five rows of chained lawn chairs. The new rules are that you can bring down your chairs starting at 8am Sunday morning but you can’t leave them unattended at any time or they will remove them. The areas permitted for chairs will be well marked and only two rows will be allowed. In the past people have been claiming their piece of real estate three days before. You can claim your confisgated lawn chair at Royal Athletic Park Saturday and Wednesday August 6th.
